Waar het Radicaal Continuüm aansluit

Worralls structureel realisme is de wetenschapsfilosofische positie die het best aansluit bij het Radicaal Continuüm. Het RC is een structureel realisme: de werkelijkheid is processtructuur, niet een verzameling entiteiten met intrinsieke eigenschappen. Wat de fysica beschrijft zijn structurele relaties — en die correspondentie is reëel.

Waar het Radicaal Continuüm verder gaat

Worrall beschrijft structureel realisme als epistemische positie: wij kennen de structuur maar niet de aard van de entiteiten. Het Radicaal Continuüm is ook ontologisch structureel: er zijn geen entiteiten achter de structuur — de processtructuur van het continuüm is de werkelijkheid zelf.
